Ready to Harvest Times: The harvest times on the tray labels and on this website are estimates only and can be significantly lengthened by environmental conditions including the ambient temperature. These ready to harvest times do not guarantee the plant will grow within that timeframe under all conditions.
Instafarm offers three ways to effortlessly kickstart your garden:
PLANT YOUR OWN SEED – Plant your own seed with Instafarm Soil Only trays. Sow according to seed packet instructions, let the Instafarm take over, and watch your seedlings sprout and take root! Transplant when sprouts have become well established. Seed can be sown in “quadrants” within the tray, alternatively seed can be sown more heavily in the tray and the seedlings thinned at the appropriate time.
PLANT ROOT MASSES – Place your choice pre-seeded microgreen tray in the Instafarm and wait approximately seven days. Harvest and enjoy your microgreens! Next, remove the microgreen root mass from the tray and transplant into an outdoor garden or into a larger container if you are not yet ready to plant outdoors. (Note: We recommend gently breaking or cutting the root mass into 2-3 strips.) Ensure adequate sunlight and moisture, thin as needed, and the root mass will establish and grow mature greens!
PLANT SEEDLINGS – Start your choice of pre-seeded microgreen tray in the Instafarm and wait approximately 7 days while microgreens grow. Once microgreens have developed, remove the tray from the growing unit and gently squeeze the bottom of the microgreen tray to help loosen the roots and soil. Once removed, we recommend gently breaking or cutting the root mass into 2-3 strips. Transplant into an outdoor garden or into a larger container if you are not yet ready to plant outdoors. Ensure adequate sunlight and moisture, thin out as necessary, and watch your garden take root and thrive!
